ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH AND SAFETY
In anticipation of this year’s winter holiday break, please note the following changes to waste pickup protocols:
Normal Hazardous Chemical Waste pickups will be temporarily suspended at 3:00 PM on December 12, 2025, and will resume full service on January 5, 2026.
Any chemical (and/or medical) waste generated during the holiday break should be properly containerized, labeled, and stored in accordance with the guidelines found on the RMS/EHS webpage.
Risk Management and Safety will attempt to collect as much hazardous waste as possible while our contractor is on site the week of December 15, 2025. However, it would be helpful if CampusOptics pickup requests are submitted prior to December 11, 2025.
Medical and Chemotherapy Waste pickup service will be provided throughout the holiday period on an as-needed basis, as requested, by contacting Steven Nolen or Nate Evans.
Pathological Waste pickup service will be provided throughout the holiday period on an as-needed / as-requested basis. Pickup requests shall be submitted through the ReADY Work Management System.
