Dr. Abby Langham Selected for Alabama Leadership Initiative Class VIII

Dr. Abbygail (Abby) Langham, Executive Director of Administrative Effectiveness in Business and Administration, has been selected for Leadership Alabama’s Alabama Leadership Initiative (ALI) Class VIII for 2025-2026. This prestigious statewide program, launching in November and continuing through 2026, brings together emerging leaders from across Alabama to foster education, professional connections, and personal development.

ALI was established in 1995 to complement Leadership Alabama’s existing leadership networks and programs. In 2017, the initiative expanded to a six-month format, featuring three two-day sessions held in various locations throughout the state. ALI selects 50–55 professionals each year through a competitive process, with over 100 applicants vying for a spot in the current class.

“I’m honored to represent Auburn University as a member of the Alabama Leadership Initiative’s 2025-2026 class,” Langham said. “The opportunity to connect with such an outstanding group of leaders from across the state is inspiring and energizing.”

ALI provides participants with exposure to Alabama’s key decision makers who are attuned to the challenges facing the state. The program offers a unique opportunity to engage with leaders who shape Alabama’s future.

Dr. Langham serves as the inaugural Executive Director for Administrative Effectiveness in Business and Administration at Auburn. Previously, she was the inaugural Director of Assessment & Strategic Planning in Student Affairs at Auburn, and she has held roles in institutional research at UAB and worked at the University of Pennsylvania. She is passionate about teaching and consulting on assessment and strategic planning, and holds graduate faculty status at Auburn. Beyond campus, Dr. Langham is active in the community as a former president and current sustainer in the Junior League of Auburn-Opelika, and she is a 2023 graduate of Leadership Lee County.
